Dallas Events – April 16-19, 2009

events

Well, the Crystal Castles cancelled like primadonnas, the Rangers are playing badly, and tax day has come and gone, but no ACORN party crasher people were beaten senseless by TeaParty party people (at least, not as of my writing this), and we are back to trudging through our senseless and hopeless professional lives.  But don’t dispair!  There are extracirricular activities involving music and stuff going on in Dallas this weekend.  Hit the jump to find out the who, the what, the where, and links for tickets (if any).

Thursday, April 16

Amon Amarth with Goat Whore, Skeleton Witch and Lazarus AD @ Granada Theater  (Ed: on here purely for the strength of the band names)

Friday, April 17

The Spazmatics @ The Loft
Del Tha Funky Homosapien @ Granada
Elkhart @ Club Dada

Saturday, April 18

Dan Deacon @ Ft. Worth Modern Art Museum (Ed: not sure if this is sold or what; can’t find tickets online.)
Hard Night’s Day (Beatles Tribute) @ Sambucca in Uptown (This one’s free, babies!)
Revolution 9 Record Store Day @ Good Records Dallas (DBF is there; click that link for the lineup!)

All Weekend Bonus

The collapsing (lost 5th straight Tuesday night) Texas Rangers are playing all weekend vs. the KC Royals. So that’s something.

Heh, looks like I sort of forgot about Jimmy Buffett. So: Jimmy Buffett will be at Pizza Hut Park in Frisco on Saturday. I’m not going to make it this year, but it will be fun!
