Hot Chip Add Tour Dates
Great news today, Brooklyn Vegan says that Hot Chip has added some new fall tour dates for these United States. Dallas made the cut and I am damn excited to see these guys, and dance my shoes off. Made in the Dark is probably my second favorite album of the year behind Blood Moon from Apes & Androids, so I'm hoping for a good one here. Hot Chip @ Vic Theater - 4.17.08
Ventured up to the Vic last night to check out England's Hot Chip throw the dance music all over the place, and it was a damn good time. Opener was Free Blood, and they were pretty solid, and they even came out and joined Hot Chip on stage for a few of their songs later on. Hot Chip came out to thunderous excitement from the crowd, as the sound check/setup for them took quite a long time and everyone was a little on edge. ACL Lineup Released Today
ACL Lineup was released today. Now, there may be someone out there who is excited about this lineup, but it doesn't really do it for me. When you compare this thing up against the sheer festival gold that Lollapalooza doled out last week, it's not quite what I was looking forward to. Mind you there are some incredibly quality acts in the lineup down the list like Hot Chip, MGMT, Man Man and Yeasayer, but the headliners are not even close to Lolla, although they do have Raconteurs.
