UPDATE - According to this article the ordinance has been tabled for now due to public outcry. Thank god. I wasn't even aware of this until this morning, but this is pretty fucking bad news right here. Apparently in light of some events, the Chicago City Council has drafted an incredibly broad ordinance that would effectively shut down or cripple every live music venue in the city in order to fix some problem with underground promoters. Rangers Home Opener - 4/8/08
Marcus and I went out to the Texas Rangers' home opener vs. the Baltimore Orioles yesterday, and just as last year, Opening Day is a real treat. Everyone is fired up, the stadium is completely full (this photo was the pregame festivities and not eveyone had filtered in yet), and this year the weather was just about ideal. Temperature in the mid 70s, though with quite a few clouds but the sun did manage to break through for periods of time. I love the Rangers, but the Rangers stink.
